Canine Specialized Search Team (CSST) is a volunteer resource of the County of Santa Clara Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office, California. We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation.
CSST
uses specially trained and certified canines in the field of human remains
detection and forensic evidence. We advocate a teamwork approach and emphasize
cooperation with other experts and agencies in the field. We are available
for all agencies in the county and as mutual aid with other counties throughout
California.
CSST promotes extensive and advanced training and certification
of our teams to ensure a high degree of proficiency and professionalism.
We are continuously training and educating our canine teams by developing
new and advanced techniques.
